Background

I am origianally from Colombia Manizales (the coffee district of Colombia), but was adopted at the age of 2 to Denmark. I feel both danish and colombian, though I don't speak spanish. However Colombia has always had a special place in my heart, and I have visited the country four times since I was adopted. I grew up in a suburb to Copenhagen with my parents and older brother. I have always been creative and loved drawing and dancing as a child. In 2014 I got accepted into the IT University of Copenhagen, wherefrom I completed my bachelor in Digital Media and Design and my master in Digital Design and Communication.

I have always been fascinated with how to tell great stories - from Disney's creative universes to Game of Thrones dark ones. What I love most about these stories are the characters and how storytellers generate empathy towards them as well as how the storyline and universe shape the characters choices.

For me design is all about storytelling! Cause like stories, design always have main characters, in this case a user, that the design revolves around. Likewise the objects around them, guides them towards certain actions. Therefor designers, have a responsibility to design products and services that help the user in achieving their goals. Discovering potential motivations and painpoints is essentiel to creating great designs, that people will use.
